How Fluconazole Tablet works
Fluconazole is a drug that is used to prevent and cure fungal and yeastinfections. It belongs to the azole antifungals class of medicines. It acts by inhibiting the growth of specific fungi. Dosage of Fluconazole Tablet
Before you start taking fluconazole, each time you get a refill, read the Patient Information Leaflet if one is available from your pharmacist. Inquire with your doctor or pharmacist if you have any concerns.
Take this medication by mouth once a day, with or without food, as instructed by your doctor. If you're taking this medication as a liquid suspension, give it a good shake before each dose. The liquid is normally available in two strengths:
- Fluconazole 50mg/5ml is 50mg fluconazole in a 5ml spoonful.

Unless recommended by a doctor, children's doses should not exceed 600 mg per day. When the amount of medicine in your body is kept steady, this drug works best. Stopping the drug too soon may allow the fungus to continue to thrive, causing the infection to reappear. If your issue persists, contact your doctor. Fluconazole should be kept at room temperature and away from moisture and heat. Do not allow the pill to become frozen.
Side Effects of Fluconazole Tablet
If you have symptoms of an allergic reaction (hives, difficulty breathing, swelling in your face or throat) or a severe skin reaction, get immediate medical attention (fever, sore throat, burning eyes, skin pain, red or purple skin rash with blistering and peeling). Warnings & Precautions of Fluconazole Tablet
